Mario Emond is a bilingual cross-cultural and diversity trainer with over 20 years experience. In 2011, he founded Pluralizm, a private consulting firm dedicated to promoting a respectful, productive and pluralistic society.
He delivers and designs over 30 diversity and cross-cultural effectiveness workshops annually across Canada and overseas. His areas of expertise include diversity inclusive workplaces, cross-cultural teams and leadership, and living and working internationally.
Mario is known for his experiential facilitation style which focuses on developing intercultural competencies along with practical workplace applications. He regularly facilitates in-classroom workshops for Global Affairs Canada's Centre for Intercultural Leaning and online courses for UBC’s Centre for Intercultual Communication.
Mario has trained HR personnel on Objective Eye assessments, Employment Equity reporting, duty to accommodate practices and behaviour based interviewing. He is certified to administer the Intercultural Development Inventory®, an online assessment that measures how individuals and organizations deal with diversity. He is also trained to administer the EQ-I 2.0®, an online test that assesses emotional intelligence (EQ).
